Damn it, I hate it when they post new TMBG tour dates that I know I won't be able to go to! Stupid east coast!!

Hey, I'm Mandy, I haven't actually seen TMBG yet, but next week I'm going to the Seattle show. I'm from Oregon but my sister lives in Tacoma, so I'm going to stay with her and she and I and her boyfriend are going to ride the bus to Seattle. I'll post about it when I get back, but for now I was wondering if anyone knows what ticket service they are using. It doesn't give that info on their site anywhere.

Thanks Much
Mandy

heyyyyy everybody! i've seen TMBG twice, yes, only twice, both times in chicago at the navy pier: '00 and '02. so i'm due for another TMBG show this year. only problem: my dad probably won't want to take me this time.

there's a show in ann arbor which is across the state, and i won't have a way there, unless any of you generous TMBG fans would be able to pick up a 17 year old stranger from grand rapids, mi along the way.

um... maybe i can offer gas money or hot lovin?

no interesting road trip stories, but at the '02 show i got the spotlight on me when i held up my copy of they got lost. that was pretty awesome, i'd say. i also made quite an ass of myself yelling things and trying to get to the front of the stage. what can i say? i was excited. apologies if that affected any of you.

Jun. 2nd, 2004 @ 06:14 pm Road trip from April 2004
This was the last roadtrip I took, some of you have already seen it or in some cases, lived through it with me. :)

Mother of god, we are all really, really tired. The greyhound arrived at about 5:15 am in San Francisco this morning. We managed to get out of the terminal and I forced everyone under threat of being poked with a sharp stick to go to Noah's Bagels, as I really, really, needed coffee. I can't really sleep on greyhound and I was stuck sitting with an asshat who went into a deep coma slumber and so basically I was trapped in the bus during our stop in Coalinga earlier this morning. The lights came on, I tried tapping his shoulder and he was not waking up.

Well, I'm the only one who hasn't made an introductory post yet, and the peer pressure is getting to me, so, I'm in Chicago but, coincidentally, born in Gainesville, FL and raised in even more uninteresting Ocala, FL. Actually my first TMBG concert was at the Reitz Union at the University of Florida, in 1990. It cost $5. Now I'm feeling nostalgiac.

The farthest I've traveled has been from Chicago to Harrisburg, PA, but I was in the Poconos anyway vacationing with the in-laws so I guess that doesn't really count. The farthest I've traveled specifically for TMBG was Chicago to St Louis. I've seen TMBG in 5 states (FL, IL, MO, IN, PA) and plan to add four more this summer: OH (Columbus), MI, WI and MN, the last two with artmonkeygirl as she already mentioned. And, having conquered the Midwest, perhaps I'll move on to the South or Northeast at some point.

(By the way, I have mementos (scans, pictures, mp3s) from a lot of the shows I've been to on my website.)
